KELLY'S CAFE, ATHLONE

Our client, Kelly’s Café in Athlone, wanted to make the most of the time they were closed, due to Covid restrictions, to revamp their premises in anticipation of welcoming back customers once allowed to re-open. It was important to our client, in the design and planning, that the premises would enable them to manage staff and customer safety during the pandemic, deal with potential limitations on indoor dining, easily facilitate take away business and enhance internal space for a good customer experience.

The creation of a take away coffee hatch was vital, so that the Café would not miss out on passing trade. To achieve this, we built a custom made awning from steel, with a canopy which took into consideration the local weather. We installed a hatch window with full external branding and menus, giving clear visibility to passers by of the Café’s offering. Inside we painted the full premises, installed new bespoke back and front counter units, being mindful to making the most of the premises foot print, along with a new condiment unit and custom divider units. We finished off with the addition of new menus boards and vibrant graphics around the café.
